I recently watched the movie “Back to the Future Part1,” which I saw for the first time about 40 years ago. Despite the four decades that have passed, the storyline still captivates me with the same feelings from the twists and turns, leaving me on the edge of my seat.
I’m sure many of you had the same thought as me after watching it – “I want to hop on a time machine and change the past!” Who hasn’t made numerous mistakes, wrong judgments, and choices in the past that make us all wish to go back and alter? However, there’s one more thing that I believe you all noticed too – that changing the past alters the future.
The movie unfolds with the protagonist, Marty, using a time machine to go back in time and recreate the circumstances that lead to his parents’ meeting. By altering his father’s past, who lacked confidence and was bullied, Marty also changes the future; transforming the strength and character of his parents’ relationship. This holds true not just in the movie but also in real life. Our present choices and actions have the potential to significantly impact our future selves and the people around us. While we can’t undo past failures, it’s important to realize that the way you act and think today can change the course of your future. This is a fact.
I’m planning to watch Part 2 next. Stay tuned to find out what insights I gain from the movie. Enjoy the anticipation along with me everyone!
